Custom Breakfast Nook & Banquette Cushions
Create a more comfortable and finished dining space with custom breakfast nook cushions made to fit your kitchen nook, banquette, corner bench, or built-in seating area. Whether you are updating an older cushion, finishing a new built-in bench, or replacing cushions that no longer fit or feel supportive, Patio Lane makes it easy to design cushions around your space.
These custom cushions are made using the measurements and selections you provide, giving you more control over fit, comfort, and style than ready-made bench cushions. Choose your fabric, cushion thickness, foam feel, welt or no welt, and other finishing details to create a cushion set that works with your dining area.
Designed for Built-In Dining Seating
Custom breakfast nook cushions are ideal for kitchen benches, banquettes, breakfast corners, L-shaped seating, dining benches, bay windows, and built-in seating areas where standard cushion sizes may not fit. They are especially helpful for spaces with multiple cushion sections, angled corners, or seating that needs a cleaner, more tailored look.
This product can be used for a single bench cushion, multiple seat cushions, back cushions, or a full breakfast nook cushion set depending on your layout. If your existing cushion foam is still supportive and in good condition, replacement cushion covers may also be an option.
Choose Fabric That Fits Your Home
Your fabric choice helps define the look, feel, and performance of your breakfast nook or banquette cushions. Patio Lane offers fabric options for everyday living, including performance fabrics and outdoor fabrics such as Sunbrella when extra durability, cleanability, or fade resistance is desired.
Choose a soft neutral, classic stripe, textured pattern, or coordinating color to complement your dining space, pillows, curtains, wall color, or existing décor. The right fabric can turn a simple built-in bench into a comfortable, polished part of your home.
Made to Your Measurements
Each custom breakfast nook cushion is made to the dimensions you provide. For the best fit, measure carefully before ordering. If replacing an existing cushion, measure seam to seam for width, depth, and thickness. Do not include extra puffiness beyond the seams or welt/piping. If measuring the bench itself, measure the full seating area where the cushion will sit.
For corner benches, L-shaped nooks, or multiple cushion layouts, measure each section separately instead of assuming every cushion is the same size.
Because custom cushions are made specifically for your selected size, fabric, and details, they are not returnable.
Comfort & Foam Options
Breakfast nook comfort depends on how your seating is used. Patio Lane offers foam options that may include medium support, firmer support, upgraded softness with wrap, or quick-dry foam for spaces that need extra performance.
Contact our team before ordering if you need help measuring, choosing fabric, or selecting the right cushion options.

Measurement Guides
Cushion Corners
Cushion Corners
By default, our cushions are made with square corners. However, you can customize them with rounded corners to better fit your furniture.
Each rounded option features a 2½-inch radius for a smooth, finished look.
- Round Top Corners – the two upper corners are rounded.
- Round Bottom Corners – the two lower corners are rounded.
- Round Front Corners – the two front-facing corners are rounded.
- Round Rear Corners – the two back-facing corners are rounded.
If you need a larger radius or a unique corner shape, we can accommodate that too. In those cases, we’ll need a template from you. Contact us for more details.
Chaise Cushions:
- Corners only apply to first and last section.
- Corners are not applied between section breaks.

Glossary of Terms
- Fabric Repeat - The distance between repeating elements in stripes, patterns, or plaids. Measure from a point in the design to the same point in the next repeat.
- Horizontal Repeat - Pattern runs across the width of the fabric (railroaded).
- Vertical Repeat - Pattern runs down the length of the fabric.
- Effects on Yardage - Estimated fabric is calculated in multiples of the repeat. For example, a 15" repeat for a 30" cushion requires at least 3 repeats (31" total) to complete the project.
Cushion Fill
Cushion Fill
Choose Your Fill
Cushion comfort is personal—everyone prefers a different feel. We use only top-quality foam, but comfort is subjective, so we can’t guarantee every preference. All options are rated for indoor and outdoor use. Here’s some helpful info for your research:

Cushion Joining
Cushion Joining
Choose Your Cushion Joining Style
None

Joining styles are only optional and not required. Select this option for cushions that can be used independently.
Hinged

This method is best for cushions over 3 inches thick. The hinge is a small, matching fabric panel that is sewn into the side wall (thickness) of the cushions being joined. The length of the hinge is adjusted according to the cushion thickness to allow optimal functioning.
Pinched

This method is only available cushion(s) up to 6 inches thick. Pinched style joins cushions at the side wall (thickness) of the cushions near the zipper. This joining style works best with non-textured fabrics to manage bulkiness. When Joining is Pinched, the Back Thickness will automatically match the Seat Thickness (and vice versa).
All seams are finished off with a double turned hem, French seam or surged edge for the highest quality construction.
