Is Sunbrella fabric waterproof?
Standard Sunbrella is water-resistant and breathable. For fully waterproof applications, choose Sunbrella RAIN, which includes a built-in waterproof backing.
Are any fabrics mold- and mildew-resistant?
Yes, Sunbrella marine-grade vinyl and acrylics are designed to resist mold and mildew with proper airflow and care.
Do these fabrics fade in the sun?
Sunbrella fabrics come with a warranty against fading. The length of warranty will depend on the type of fabric.
Are your fabrics flame-retardant?
Some are. Many of our marine and commercial-grade fabrics meet FMVSS302 standards. Check individual product specs or contact us for help.
Fabric Usage
Can I sew Sunbrella fabrics at home?
Can I make cushions out of awning fabrics?
Yes. It is for advanced sewing skills and the correct materials and equipment.
Can all fabrics be used for custom curtains?
No, not all fabrics are designed for curtain fabrication depending on where they are being used. Some require a lining for both functionality and aesthetic.
Is marine grade vinyl a good choice for my seat cushions?
Yes. Most marine grade vinyl is ideal for seat cushions that will experience regular use or harsh outdoor weather conditions. Sunbrella Horizon vinyl is designed specifically for this application.
Can I make cushions out of sheer fabric?
No. Sheer fabrics are not designed for the daily use that cushions receive. The construction of sheer fabric will experience construction failure if used for cushions.
Product Care
Are all fabrics cleaned and cared for in the same way?
No. Every fabric is different depending on the brand and fiber content.
Is Sunbrella easy to clean?
Yes. Because it is a solution-dyed acrylic, it is simple to clean and maintain. Refer to our cleaning care page for answers.
Are your porch swings easy to maintain?
Yes. Because our exclusive Haven & Harmony Swing Beds are constructed of powder coated aluminum, a regular quick clean is all that is needed.
How do I clean my outdoor cushions?
If we made them with Sunbrella fabric, they can be easily hosed off or spot cleaned depending on the stain or dirt. Refer to our cleaning guide for additional information. Refer to the specific fabric details for all other cushions.
Are your outdoor curtains easy to clean?
If we fabricated them in Sunbrella fabric, they can be easily but maintained. Read our Cleaning Tips blog post for further details.
Ordering
Can I get fabric samples before placing a fabric order?
Yes. We have samples available for most of our fabrics. Both Sunbrella and Designer fabric are available. Find the fabric online and click to add the sample to the cart. If a fabric sample is not available, contact us for further details.
How long does it take for me to receive my order?
The leads times are dependent on the product ordered. Most fabric orders will ship within 3 – 5 business days if it is in inventory. Custom order shipping times depend on seasonal production time, cushion templating and fabric availability. Contact us if an order is needed by specific event date.
Can I cancel my order?
Most fabric orders can’t be cancelled if they have already been delivered to the warehouse for fulfillment. Custom orders can’t be cancelled once production has started.
How will my order arrive?
The shipping method depends on the product purchased. Most orders arrive via UPS or FedEx. Larger products, similar to oversized cushions, Swing Bed frames or larger umbrellas might require LTL truck delivery.
