Dual Duty is core-type thread made by spinning a high-grade cotton warp around a continuous multi-filament polyester core. Low shrinkage as compared to cotton, high single end strength, stronger seams than with cotton of equivalent size, and excellent resistance to abrasion. When wet, cotton swells to fill needle holes in fabric, which reduces seam leakage.
