Sunbrella Fabric DIY Design - Celebrate Spring with Duralee
Posted in: Sunbrella

Wow! What a winter we’ve had! Even here in sunny Florida, our winter has been brutal. We can only imagine what it’s been like for our friends up north! We’re hopeful that we've had our last cold snap because, I don’t know about you but, I’m ready to finally start enjoying lazy Sunday afternoons out by the pool with glasses of home-made iced tea.

It’s been awhile since I’ve replaced the cushions on my porch and in this DIY series, I’ve picked some pretty spring-colored Sunbrella fabrics from Duralee. Many people don’t realize that Duralee has their own collection of Sunbrella upholstery fabrics in a book called Pavilion. In this book, you’ll find lots of coordinating solids and stripes. Everything from neutral whites to Navy nautical, and for this DIY series, I picked a soft purple striped Sunbrella fabric called Hydrangea, which is named after one of my favorite flowers. This pattern includes subtle hints of green and yellow, and it pairs perfectly with the solid colors of Duralee’s Spring Green Sunbrella and a light yellow Sunbrella solid called Goldleaf.

Although we put these Sunbrella fabrics in a patio setting, they would also be beautiful as outdoor curtains and are certainly perfect for a little girl’s room.

Besides paint, I can’t think of an easier way to change up the look of a patio or porch by adding some cushions and pillows. These Sunbrella fabrics by Duralee are the perfect way to pretty up your patio and hopefully, the memories of snow and below normal temperatures will soon melt away as we enjoy our much awaited springtime rituals.
